How it works
From the first glance to the first message — here is how it plays out.
Act I The glance
Like, Pass or Super Like — and if you swiped too fast, Rewind brings back your last card. Tap the sides of a card to flip through their photos, or the arrow beside their name to open the whole profile: photos, bio, prompts and interests.
Act II The spark
When the feeling is mutual, you’ll see the interests you share and a few icebreaker suggestions — so your first message never starts from a blank page.
Act III The conversation
Send photos and voice messages, react and reply to any message, and call your match when typing isn’t enough. Read receipts and typing indicators are there when you want them — and you can switch both off.
Everything else
The thoughtful details between the first like and the late-night call.
Everyone who liked you, the Super Likes you’ve received and the likes you’ve sent — all in one place, nothing blurred or locked.
Share a short mood line for 24 hours. Your matches see it in Chat and can reply, and it shows on your card for anyone who sees you on Match — then it quietly disappears.
Start a voice call with a match right from your conversation, whenever you’re ready to go beyond typing.
Look for people up to 161 km away, with an age range up to 100+ — or turn on Global mode to meet people nearby first, then the rest of the world.
Show only verified profiles or people with a bio, choose how many photos a profile should have and what they’re looking for, and hide anyone who hasn’t been active this week. When you’ve seen everyone who fits, people slightly outside your filters can follow — clearly marked, never relaxing “Only verified profiles”, and you can switch that off.
Say yes and your likes, Super Likes and passes put the people you’re likely to like first. Photos are never looked at, your filters stay as they are, and you can switch it off any time in Discovery — switching it off deletes what it learned.
Privacy & safety
You decide what others see, who can reach you, and when to step away.
Photo verification is optional. Take a live face scan and a scan of your ID card or driving licence. Our team checks them, usually within 24 hours, before the tick appears, and your ID is never shown on your profile. Not every profile is verified — so look for the tick, or, once you’re verified yourself, turn on Photo Verified Chat to hear only from verified profiles.
Choose whether your profile shows how far away you are, your age and your orientation.
Choose whether others can see when you were last active.
Need a break? Pause your profile and come back whenever you like.
Each takes just a few taps, whenever something doesn’t feel right.
A safety center inside the app, there whenever you need it.
Leaving is simple: you can delete your account whenever you choose.
